At NY Emmy's ® 2018 Awards
When we received the news back in 2018 that we were nominated for an NY Emmy, we at SinoVision were excited for this honor. Not only was it our first as individuals, it was also the first for the company since its inception back in 1990.
We would have loved to be nominated for our past work but we were so busy with shoots and other tasks that we never really fully researched how we can submit to the Emmy’s until 2017 when the production manager looked into the process. After submissions, the show that stood out and got nominated was the short docu-series called, “My Town, Chinatown”, which was co-produced, edited and directed by Melody Cao. It was a great accomplishment for the team and the company because we came a long way to achieve this goal and although we didn’t win on the night of the NY Emmy’s we still came out with pride that we can accomplish anything.
